Due to the increased cost of securing use of BNSF train tracks for the entire life of the Northstar Commuter Rail project, the NCDA currently does not have all of the funding necessary to complete the Fridley station. The NCDA is working with local, state and federal officials to secure the remaining funding for the Fridley station, and still hopes to complete the station in time for Northstar's planned launch in late 2009.
